25 miles of single track and double track trails around the lake. Difficulty ranges from mild to strenuous.

Primitive camping is available in the park. Reservations are recommended.
A KOA is located just outside of the park entrance.
Horseback riding is permitted on designated trails. There is a horse staging area on the east side of the park on River Road.
Fishing is permitted from shore, boat or canoe. Santa Margarita Lake known for redear, striped bass, trout, catfish, crappie and bluegill.
Hiking is permitted throughout the area.
Mountain biking is permitted on designated trails.
