Phones tend to compress the map layout. Screen and text scales can be adjusted to make it easier to view.
Text scale.
Screen scaling factor will change the size of the map and the app controls. Cartograph must be shut down then restarted after changing this setting.
Overlay feature can be used to display the trail map on top of satellite imagery or other online map.

Select Base Map.
Load California Trail Map as overlay.
Set CA Trail Theme as overlay style.
Select Transparent from the Layers drop down.
Open Settings. Increase Overlay Opacity. This is a one time adjustment.
