Dogs must be on a leash no more than 6 feet long.
Do not bring more than two dogs or other pet to any one campsite. Guide dogs are an exception.

Horseback riding is permitted on dirt roads that are shared with motor vehicles.

Hiking is permitted throughout the forest.

Hunting

Hunting

Hunting is permitted throughout the Cleveland National Forest during hunting seasons designated by the California State Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Hunting is not permitted in those areas where the discharge of firearms is prohibited by County Ordinance, California State law or Federal regulations and hunters must follow all laws, including no hunting within 150 yards of a residence, building, campsite, developed recreation site or occupied area. A valid California hunting license is required.

Wild pigs frequently hunted in this area.

Mountain biking is permitted on dirt roads that are shared with motor vehicles.

OHV

OHV

OHVs are permitted on Cedar Creek Trail(13s11) between Eagle Peak Rd and Boulder Creek Rd. Cedar Creek is roughly 3 miles long.

Spark arresters are required.

Check Road Status and Conditions prior to departure.
Green sticker, year round.
Red sticker, Oct 1 to April 30.

Regulations & Recommendations

An Adventure Pass is required for all vehicles parked on forest land.
There are no campgrounds in this area.
Special permit is required to access Cedar Creek Falls.
Discharge of firearms is currently prohibited except for the purpose of hunting during the designated hunting season as established by the California Department of Fish and Game.
Target shooting is prohibited.
